Nexodal is a medicine used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose, such as from too much morphine.
For adults, the doctor will usually give 0.4 to 2 mg of naloxone into a vein. More doses might be given every 2-3 minutes if needed.
A doctor or nurse will give Nexodal as a shot into a vein or muscle, or as a drip into a vein. Shots into a muscle are only used if a vein shot is not possible.
Your doctor will decide how long you need to take this medicine and what your maximum daily dose should be.
