  • Feeling warm
  • Itching
  • Hives (itchy rash)
  • Feeling weak
  • Sweating
  • Feeling sick to your stomach (nausea)
  • Feeling restless
  • Trouble breathing
  • Sudden swelling of the skin or inside the mouth/nose
  • Fluid in the lungs
  • Low blood pressure
  • Redness or irritation where the shot was given
  • Pain where the shot was given

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Neuramin if you are allergic to thiamine (a B-vitamin) or any other part of this medicine. Allergic reactions can happen even if you have used it for a long time.
  • This medicine contains special ingredients (preservatives) that can cause allergic reactions, sometimes later. In rare cases, they can make it hard to breathe.
  • This medicine has a small amount of alcohol. For very young children, it might make them sleepy or change how other medicines work. Talk to your doctor if your child is taking other medicines.
