How to Use

Dosage

Usually taken once a week.

Method

Swallow capsules whole with water, do not chew or suck. It's best to take with food to reduce nausea. Do not take with hot drinks.

Important

Do not exceed a total dose of 160 mg per week.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Infections in different parts of the body.
  • Stomach problems, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting.
  • Mouth inflammation.
  • Fewer red blood cells, causing pale skin, weakness, or shortness of breath.
  • Fewer platelets, increasing risk of bleeding or bruising.
  • Fewer white blood cells, increasing risk of infection.
  • Loss of some reflexes, occasional changes in touch sensation.
  • Hair loss (usually mild).
  • Tiredness.
  • Fever.
  • Weakness.
  • Weight loss, loss of appetite.
  • Difficulty coordinating movements.
  • Vision changes.
  • Shortness of breath, cough.
  • Difficulty urinating, other urinary or genital symptoms.
  • Sleep problems.
  • Headache, dizziness, changes in taste.
  • Esophagus inflammation, difficulty swallowing food or liquids.
  • Skin reactions.
  • Chills.
  • Weight gain.
  • Joint pain, jaw pain, muscle pain.
  • Pain in different body parts and at the tumor site.
  • High blood pressure.
  • Liver problems (abnormal liver test results).
RARE
  • Heart failure, causing shortness of breath, swollen ankles, or irregular heartbeat.
  • Loss of muscle control, which may cause unusual walking, speech changes, or abnormal eye movements (ataxia).
  • Blood poisoning (sepsis) with symptoms like high fever or worsening general health.
  • Heart attack.
  • Bleeding in the stomach or intestines.
  • Low sodium in blood, causing weakness, muscle twitches, tiredness, confusion, and unconsciousness.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to vinorelbine or similar cancer medicines.
  • Do not take if you are breastfeeding.
  • Do not take if you have a severe stomach or bowel disease that affects absorption, or if you've had part of your stomach or small intestine removed.
  • Do not take if you have low white blood cells or platelets, or a severe infection in the last two weeks.
  • Do not take if you plan to get or have recently had a yellow fever vaccine.

  • Do not take if you are on long-term oxygen therapy.
  • Tell your doctor if you have ever had severe chest pain or heart problems like angina or a heart attack.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had radiation therapy that included your liver.
  • Tell your doctor if you have symptoms of infection like fever, chills, or cough.
  • Avoid live vaccines (like measles, mumps, rubella) during Navelbine treatment due to risk of severe reaction.
  • Do not take if you have severe liver disease not related to your cancer.
  • Do not take if you are pregnant.
