COMMON

- •Irritation or inflammation of the vein where the infusion is given (phlebitis), which can cause redness, pain, burning, or swelling along the vein.
RARE
- •Allergic reactions, including severe ones (anaphylaxis), especially if you have a corn allergy.
- •High blood sugar.
- •Low sodium levels in the blood, which can lead to headache, nausea, seizures, coma, brain swelling, and death.

- Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it.
- Do not take this medicine if you have too much fluid outside your cells.
- Do not take this medicine if you have too much blood volume.
- Do not take this medicine if you have too much sodium or fluid in your body.
- Do not take this medicine if you have severe kidney problems, meaning you produce very little or no urine.

- Do not take this medicine if you have conditions like metabolic stress, hyperosmolar coma, very high blood sugar, or high lactic acid in your blood.
