How to Use

Possible Side Effects
RARE
- •Tremor
- •Low blood pressure
- •Hives (urticaria)
- •Rash
- •Itching
- •Infection at the injection site
- •Local pain or reaction (redness and swelling) at the injection site
- •Irritation and inflammation of the vein (phlebitis), causing redness, pain, burning sensation, and swelling along the vein
- •Blood clot (thrombosis) at the infusion site, causing pain, swelling, or redness around the clot
- •Leakage of infusion fluid into surrounding tissues (extravasation), which can damage tissue and cause scarring
- •Abnormally high blood volume (hypervolemia)
- •Itching at the infusion site (urticaria)
- •Fever
- •Chills
- •Abnormally high blood sodium (hypernatremia)
- •Abnormally low blood sodium (hyponatremia)
- •Blood acidification with higher than normal chloride levels (hyperchloremic metabolic acidosis)
Important Warnings
- Do not use this medicine if you have unusually high levels of chloride or sodium in your blood.
- Tell your doctor if you have heart problems, kidney problems, too much acid in your blood (acidosis), high blood pressure, fluid buildup in your body (edema), or liver disease.
- Inform your doctor if you have a condition that causes high levels of a hormone called vasopressin in your body, which can increase the risk of low blood sodium and serious brain swelling.
- Do not use this medicine if the solution has particles or if the package is damaged.
