How to Use

Dosage

One tablet once a day.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food. Do not chew it.

Important

Maximum one tablet per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Red, raised rash on the skin.
  • Allergic skin reactions, especially if you are allergic or have asthma.
  • Low potassium level in the blood.
RARE
  • Vomiting.
  • Red spots on the skin (purpura).
  • Low sodium level in the blood, which can lead to dehydration and low blood pressure.
  • Impotence (trouble getting or keeping an erection).
  • Feeling tired, headache, tingling, or dizziness.
  • Stomach problems (like nausea, constipation) and dry mouth.
  • Low chloride or magnesium level in the blood.
  • Changes in blood cells (e.g., bruising, nosebleeds, fever, sore throat, anemia).
  • Irregular heartbeat or low blood pressure.
  • Kidney disease or abnormal liver function.
  • Fainting.
  • Worsening of lupus (a connective tissue disease).
  • Skin reactions to sunlight or UV light.
  • Eye problems (nearsightedness, blurred vision, eye pain from high eye pressure).
  • Changes in blood test results (e.g., uric acid, blood sugar, calcium, liver enzymes, ECG).

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Natrilix if you are allergic to indapamide, other sulfonamide medicines, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have severe kidney disease, severe liver disease, or low potassium levels in your blood.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have liver problems, diabetes, gout, irregular heartbeats, or kidney problems.
  • Tell your doctor right away if your vision gets worse or you have eye pain; this could lead to permanent vision loss.
  • Inform your doctor if you experience muscle pain, tenderness, weakness, or cramps.

  • This medicine may cause a positive result in doping tests.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Effectiveness is reduced in renal impairment. Consider risk of orthostatic hypotension and hyponatraemia and -kalemia. (updated 19.5.2025)
