Nasolin

Xylometazoline constricts blood vessels in the nose, reducing swelling and making breathing easier; it is used for short-term relief of nasal congestion during colds or sinus infections.

How to Use

Dosage

1 spray into each nostril as needed, every 6–8 hours.

Method

Blow your nose before use. Remove the protective cap. Insert the nozzle into a nostril, breathe in while pressing the bottom of the bottle. Repeat for the other nostril. Clean the nozzle after use.

Important

No more than 3 times a day. Do not use for more than 7 days (or 5 days for children 2-10 years using 0.5 mg/ml).

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to xylometazoline or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Talk to a doctor before use if you have high eye pressure (glaucoma), chronic rhinitis (dry or atrophic rhinitis), heart or blood vessel disease, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes, an adrenal gland tumor (pheochromocytoma), or an enlarged prostate.
  • Do not use if you have recently had brain surgery through your nose or mouth.
  • Do not use at the same time as certain antidepressants (MAO inhibitors, tricyclic/tetracyclic) or within two weeks of stopping MAO inhibitors.
  • Not recommended for pregnant women. If breastfeeding, use only under a doctor's guidance.

  • Only one person should use the same spray bottle to prevent the spread of infections.
