Nasofan nasal spray is an anti-inflammatory medicine that reduces swelling and irritation in the nose, used for treating hay fever.

How to Use

Dosage

For adults (over 18 years), 1–2 sprays in each nostril once a day, preferably in the morning.

Method

Spray into the nostrils. Before use, shake the bottle, blow your nose, close one nostril, and spray into the other while slowly breathing in.

Important

The dose can be temporarily increased to 2 sprays in each nostril twice a day until symptoms improve. After that, return to the normal dose.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Nosebleeds
  • Headache
  • Unpleasant taste or smell in the mouth or nose
  • Irritation and dryness in the throat or nose, sneezing
RARE
  • Glaucoma (increased eye pressure) and cataracts (clouding of the eye's lens) after long-term use
  • Perforation of the nasal septum and sores in the nasal lining (especially if you had previous nose surgery)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to fluticasone propionate or any other ingredient.
  • Talk to a doctor if you have had nose surgery.
  • Talk to a doctor if you have or recently had a nasal infection.
  • Talk to a doctor if you have an untreated infection, tuberculosis, or eye herpes.
  • Talk to a doctor if you have been treated with steroids for a long time orally or by injection.

  • See a doctor if you do not feel better after seven days or if your condition worsens.
  • Stop use and contact a doctor immediately if you experience a severe allergic reaction (sudden rash, swelling of the face/tongue, difficulty breathing).
  • Stop use and contact a doctor immediately if you experience bronchospasm (severe wheezing, coughing, difficulty breathing).
  • Stop use and contact a doctor immediately if you experience sudden drowsiness or dizziness (which may lead to fainting).
  • Contact a doctor if you experience blurred vision or other visual disturbances.
