Naramig tablets relieve migraine headaches and other symptoms like nausea and sensitivity to light or sound by reducing the temporary widening of blood vessels in the head.

How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose for adults aged 18-65 is one Naramig 2.5 mg tablet.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water as soon as you feel a migraine starting, but it can be taken at any stage of an attack.

Important

Do not take more than two Naramig tablets in 24 hours. If you have kidney or liver disease, do not take more than one tablet in 24 hours.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Nausea or vomiting, which might also be due to the migraine itself.
  • Feeling tired, sleepy, or generally unwell.
  • Dizziness, tingling sensation, or hot flashes.
RARE
  • Allergic reaction, with symptoms like rash, wheezing, swollen eyelids, face or lips, and loss of consciousness. Seek medical help immediately.
  • Feeling of heaviness, pressure, tightness, or pain in the chest, throat, or other body parts. If severe or persistent, seek medical help as this could be a sign of a heart attack.
  • Vision problems.
  • Changes in heart rhythm, like unusually fast, slow, or irregular beats.
  • Slight increase in blood pressure.
  • Pain in the lower left belly with bloody diarrhea (this is a serious condition called ischemic colitis).
  • Poor circulation in hands and feet, causing pain and discomfort.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Naramig if you are allergic to naratriptan or any of its ingredients.
  • Do not take Naramig if you have heart problems, chest pain, or have had a heart attack.
  • Do not take Naramig if you have poor blood circulation in your legs that causes pain when walking.
  • Do not take Naramig if you have had a stroke or a mini-stroke (TIA).
  • Do not take Naramig if you have severe or uncontrolled high blood pressure.

  • Do not take Naramig if you have severe kidney or liver disease.
  • Do not take Naramig if you are taking other migraine medicines like ergotamine, metysergide, or other triptans.
  • If you are taking antidepressants (SSRI or SNRI), talk to your doctor before taking Naramig as it can cause confusion, weakness, or coordination problems.
  • Taking St. John's Wort with Naramig can increase side effects. Talk to your doctor.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor. Do not breastfeed for 24 hours after taking Naramig.
  • Naramig or migraines can make you tired. Do not drive or operate machines if you feel tired.
  • Naramig contains a small amount of lactose. If you have a sugar intolerance, talk to your doctor before taking it.
