How to Use

Dosage

For adults, typically 500-1000 mg per day. For children aged 6-17 with juvenile arthritis, the dose is 10 mg per kg of body weight per day. Your doctor will tell you the exact dose.

Method

Take the tablets with a glass of water, preferably with or after food. Make sure to drink enough fluids.

Important

For most adults, do not take more than 1000 mg in one dose or exceed 1000 mg daily. For menstrual pain, do not exceed 1250 mg daily. For children, do not exceed 1000 mg daily.

  • Heart problems (like chest pain, fast heartbeat)
  • Liver problems (like yellow skin or eyes, loss of appetite, or pale stools)
  • Kidney problems (like changes in how much you urinate, or swelling)
  • Vision or hearing changes (like sudden blurry vision, hearing loss, or ringing in your ears)
  • Severe skin reactions (like widespread rash, blisters, peeling skin, or fever)
  • Blood changes (like easy bruising or bleeding, getting infections often, or feeling very tired)
  • Nerve issues (like seizures, confusion, or tingling in your hands and feet)
  • Mood changes (like feeling down, agitated, having trouble sleeping, or unusual dreams)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to naproxen or any other ingredient.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have had asthma attacks, severe swelling, or skin reactions after taking aspirin or other similar pain relievers.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have or have had stomach ulcers or bleeding in your stomach or gut.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have severe kidney, liver, or heart problems.
  • Do not take this medicine during the last 3 months of pregnancy.

  • Stop taking this medicine and see a doctor right away if you get stomach bleeding, vision problems, or hearing loss.
  • Avoid alcohol while using this medicine as it may increase some side effects.
  • This medicine can make you feel tired, dizzy, or affect your vision. Do not drive or use machines if you feel these effects.
