Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Skin reactions (like rash, redness, itching, or hives)
  • Back, neck, or muscle pain
  • Feeling unwell (like fatigue, chills, fever, or flu-like symptoms)
RARE
  • Low white blood cell count in blood (leukopenia)
  • Migraine
  • Dizziness
  • Palpitations or rapid heartbeat
  • High or low blood pressure
  • Shortness of breath
  • Diarrhea
  • Excessive sweating
  • Aseptic meningitis (inflammation of the membranes around the brain, not caused by bacteria)
  • Worsening kidney function or acute kidney failure
  • Red blood cell breakdown (hemolytic reactions)
  • Vomiting
  • Joint pain

Important Warnings

  • Tell your doctor if you are allergic to antibodies, corn, or other ingredients, or if you have anti-IgA antibodies or an IgA deficiency.
  • Inform your doctor if you have diabetes, high blood sugar, or glucose intolerance, as Nanogam contains glucose which can affect your blood sugar levels.
  • Tell your doctor about any other health conditions, such as kidney, heart, or liver disease, circulatory problems, or a history of blood clots, or if you are taking medicines that can harm your kidneys.
  • You will be carefully monitored during and after the infusion for side effects. Report immediately if you feel unwell.
  • If you experience a severe allergic reaction (like sudden drop in blood pressure, swelling of lips/tongue/throat, or severe breathing difficulties) or severe breathing problems with fever after treatment, seek immediate medical attention.

  • Tell your doctor if you have had or plan to have vaccinations, as Nanogam can weaken the effect of some live vaccines.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning a pregnancy, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine.
  • Nanogam may affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. Do not drive or use machines if you feel unwell.
  • Remember to drink enough fluids before the infusion.
