How to Use

Dosage

A healthcare professional will place one lamella in the treated eye.

Method

A healthcare professional will place the lamella under the lower eyelid. Do not swallow the lamella.

Important

The lamella should not be left in the eye for longer than two hours.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Stinging or burning in the eye.
  • Blurred vision.
  • Uncomfortable feeling in the eye due to the lamella being present or moving.
RARE
  • Tearing of the eye.
  • Eye irritation.
  • Glare due to prolonged widening of the pupil.
  • Superficial inflammation of the cornea (the clear front part of the eye).
  • Allergic reactions, such as inflammation of the eyelids (blepharitis) or conjunctivitis (inflammation of the clear membrane covering the white part of the eye).
  • Convulsions (fits).
  • Minor sores on the eye surface (corneal ulceration) or swelling of the eye surface (corneal edema) if the lamella is accidentally left in the eye.
  • A sudden glaucoma attack (sudden increase in eye pressure) in individuals prone to this condition. Seek medical help immediately if you experience redness, pain, or vision problems.
  • Increased blood pressure.
  • Fast heart rate (tachycardia).
  • Very rarely, serious heart rhythm problems (cardiac arrhythmias).
  • Tremor.
  • Pallor (paleness).
  • Headache.
  • Dry mouth.
  • Fluid or swelling in the lungs (observed in children).
  • Pallor around the eyes in premature babies (observed in children).

Important Warnings

  • This medicine can cause blurred vision for a long time, so ask someone to accompany you to your appointment.
  • Tell your doctor if the lamella feels uncomfortable or moves in your eye.
  • If your eyes are very dry, your doctor may give you saline drops to prevent irritation.
  • Tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, overactive thyroid, or prostate problems.
  • This medicine can cause a sudden increase in eye pressure (glaucoma attack) in people who are prone to it.

  • Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to tropicamide, phenylephrine hydrochloride, or any other ingredients.
  • Do not use this medicine if you have narrow-angle glaucoma or are at risk of developing it.
  • This medicine is not for children under 12 years old. It is also not recommended for adolescents aged 12-18 years.
  • Do not wear soft contact lenses during treatment.
  • Do not drive or operate machinery for several hours, as your vision may be impaired.
  • Athletes should be aware that this medicine may cause a positive result in doping tests.
