How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you the exact dose, which depends on the type of organ transplant you received.

Method

Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water. Do not break or crush them.

Important

For adults, the maximum daily dose is typically 3 grams (6 tablets).

Important Warnings

  • This medicine can cause severe birth defects and miscarriage. Women who can get pregnant must use effective birth control and have a negative pregnancy test before starting treatment. Do not take if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • Do not take if you are allergic to mycophenolate mofetil or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you have signs of infection, such as fever or sore throat.
  • Tell your doctor if you have unexpected bruises or bleeding.
  • Tell your doctor if you have a history of stomach or gut problems, such as stomach ulcers.

  • This medicine can increase your risk of skin cancer. Limit sun exposure and use protective clothing and high-SPF sunscreen.
  • Do not donate blood during treatment and for at least 6 weeks after stopping. Men should not donate semen during treatment and for at least 3 months after stopping.
