How to Use

Dosage

For children 12-13 years old: 1 effervescent tablet twice a day. For adults and adolescents 14 years and older: 1 effervescent tablet 2-3 times a day. For children under 12, use only with a doctor's prescription.

Method

Dissolve one effervescent tablet in a glass of water and drink the entire mixture. Take Mucoratio after a meal.

Important

Maximum 3 effervescent tablets for adults and adolescents 14 years and older; maximum 2 effervescent tablets for children 12-13 years.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Allergic reactions
  • Headache
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • Palpitations (fast heartbeat)
  • Vomiting, diarrhea, mouth inflammation, stomach ache, nausea
  • Hives, itching, skin rash, swelling of mucous membranes
  • Fever
  • Low blood pressure
RARE
  • Shortness of breath, spasms in the airways (bronchospasms) – mainly in people with asthma
  • Heartburn
  • Severe allergic reactions (up to shock)
  • Bleeding
  • Swelling in the face (edema)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to acetylcysteine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not give to children under 12 years old unless a doctor prescribes it.
  • Stop taking the medicine and see a doctor right away if you get new skin or mouth changes, such as a rash or sores.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have asthma.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have or have had stomach or intestinal ulcers.

  • Avoid long-term use if you have histamine intolerance, as it can cause symptoms like headaches, runny nose, or itching.
  • If you cannot cough up mucus effectively, consult your doctor, as the medicine might increase mucus initially.
  • Do not give this medicine to children under 2 years old, as it can block their airways.
  • This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your doctor says it is absolutely necessary.
