How to Use

Dosage

The usual starting dose is 15 mg or 30 mg once a day. Your doctor may increase the dose to between 15 mg and 45 mg per day.

Method

Take the tablet by mouth. Do not crush it. Take the tablet out of its blister pack with dry hands and place it on your tongue; it will dissolve quickly and can be swallowed without water.

Important

The maximum recommended daily dose is 45 mg.

COMMON
  • Increased appetite and weight gain
  • Drowsiness
  • Headache
  • Dry mouth
  • Severe, unusual drowsiness (lethargy)
  • Dizziness
  • Tremor
  • Nausea
  • Diarrhoea
  • Vomiting
  • Constipation
  • Rash
  • Joint or muscle pain
  • Back pain
  • Dizziness or fainting when standing up quickly (orthostatic hypotension)
  • Swelling due to fluid retention (mostly in ankles or feet)
  • Tiredness
  • Vivid dreams
  • Confusion
  • Anxiety
  • Sleep problems
  • Memory problems (which usually resolved after stopping treatment)
RARE
  • Abnormal skin sensations (e.g., burning, tingling, or prickling)
  • Restless legs
  • Fainting
  • Numbness in the mouth (oral hypesthesia)
  • Low blood pressure
  • Nightmares
  • Agitation
  • Hallucinations
  • Strong urge to move
  • Muscle twitching or contractions (myoclonus)
  • Aggression
  • Abdominal pain and nausea, which may be signs of pancreatitis

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to mirtazapine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have recently (within the last two weeks) taken medicines called monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors.
  • If you experience seizures or they become more frequent, stop taking Mirtazapine Grindeks and contact your doctor immediately.
  • If you notice yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), stop taking Mirtazapine Grindeks and contact your doctor immediately.
  • If psychotic symptoms, such as paranoid thoughts, occur more frequently or become more severe, contact your doctor immediately.

  • If your mood becomes strongly elevated, or you feel overly enthusiastic or agitated, stop taking Mirtazapine Grindeks and contact your doctor immediately.
  • If you develop signs of infection, such as unexplained high fever, sore throat, or mouth sores, stop taking Mirtazapine Grindeks and contact your doctor immediately for blood tests.
  • If you experience severe skin reactions such as red target-like spots, blistering, peeling skin, or mouth sores, stop taking Mirtazapine Grindeks and seek immediate medical attention.
  • If you have thoughts of harming yourself or taking your own life, contact your doctor immediately or go to the nearest emergency room.
