How to Use

Dosage

Usually one 50 mg tablet by mouth once a day. Your doctor might lower the dose to 25 mg if you have kidney or liver problems.

Method

Take the medicine with liquid and swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush or chew it. You can take the medicine with or without food.

Important

The maximum recommended daily dose is 50 mg.

  • Joint swelling
  • Itching of vulva or vagina (vulvovaginal pruritus)
  • Increased blood pressure
  • Increased liver enzymes (GGT, ASAT and ALAT)
  • Itching, rash, or hives (urticaria, macular rash, papular rash, pruritus)
  • Eyelid swelling (eyelid edema)
  • Lip swelling (lip edema)
  • Swelling of deeper skin layers due to fluid build-up, which can affect any part of the body, e.g., face, tongue, or throat, and can cause breathing difficulties (angioedema)
  • Small purple spots on the skin (purpura)
  • Inflammation of small blood vessels, mainly in the skin (leukocytoclastic vasculitis)
  • Inability to completely empty the bladder (urinary retention)
  • Severe high blood pressure (hypertensive crisis)
  • Sleep problems (insomnia)
  • Confusion

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to mirabegron or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have very high, uncontrolled blood pressure.
  • Tell your doctor if you have trouble emptying your bladder, a weak urine stream, or if you are taking other medicines for an overactive bladder.
  • Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, as your dose may need to be adjusted.
  • Tell your doctor if you have an abnormal heart rhythm or are taking medicines that can affect your heart's electrical activity (QT prolongation).

  • Mirabegron Stada can increase your blood pressure or make it worse if you already have high blood pressure. Your doctor should check your blood pressure regularly while you take this medicine.
  • This medicine should not be given to children or adolescents under 18 years of age.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby.
  • If you are breastfeeding, talk to your doctor, as this medicine may pass into breast milk.
  • If you experience an irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation), stop taking the medicine right away and seek urgent medical help.
  • If you get a sudden, severe headache, tell your doctor. This could be a sign of very high blood pressure.
  • If you cannot empty your bladder completely, tell your doctor immediately.
