How to Use

Dosage

The recommended dose is one 50 mg tablet orally once a day. For kidney or liver problems, your doctor might reduce the dose to one 25 mg tablet once a day; the 50 mg tablet should not be split.

Method

Take this medicine with liquid and swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush or chew the tablet. It can be taken with or without food.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 50 mg, or 25 mg if your doctor recommends a lower dose due to kidney or liver problems.

  • Increased blood pressure
  • Increased liver enzyme levels (GGT, ASAT, and ALAT)
  • Eyelid swelling (eyelid edema)
  • Lip swelling (lip edema)
  • Small blood vessel inflammation, mainly in the skin (leukocytoclastic vasculitis)
  • Small purple spots on the skin (purpura)
  • Swelling of deeper skin layers due to fluid retention, which can affect any part of the body, e.g., face, tongue, or throat, and can cause breathing difficulties (angioedema)
  • Inability to completely empty the bladder (urinary retention)
  • Very high blood pressure (hypertensive crisis)
  • Insomnia
  • Confusion

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to mirabegron or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have very high, uncontrolled blood pressure.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have trouble emptying your bladder, a weak urine stream, or are taking other medicines for an overactive bladder.
  • Inform your doctor about kidney or liver problems, as your dose may need to be adjusted.
  • This medicine can increase blood pressure. Your doctor will monitor your blood pressure during treatment.

  • If you get a sudden, throbbing headache, tell your doctor immediately, as this could be a sign of very high blood pressure.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby.
  • This medicine is not for children or adolescents under 18 years of age.
  • If you are breastfeeding, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
