How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is one 50 mg tablet once a day. Your doctor may prescribe a lower dose (25 mg) if you have kidney or liver problems.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with liquid. Do not crush or chew it. You can take it with or without food.

Important

Do not take more than 50 mg in a single day, unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Do not split the 50 mg tablet.

  • Stomach inflammation (gastritis)
  • Swelling of joints
  • Itching of the outer genitals or vagina
  • Increased blood pressure
  • Increased liver enzymes
  • Itching, skin rash, or hives
  • Swelling of eyelids (edema)
  • Swelling of lips (edema)
  • Severe swelling of skin layers, including face, tongue, or throat, which may cause breathing problems (angioedema)
  • Small purple spots on the skin (purpura)
  • Inflammation of small blood vessels, mainly in the skin (leukocytoclastic vasculitis)
  • Inability to fully empty the bladder (urinary retention)
  • Very high blood pressure crisis
  • Sleep problems (insomnia)
  • Confusion

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to mirabegron or any other ingredients.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have very high blood pressure that is not controlled by other medicines.
  • Tell your doctor if you have trouble emptying your bladder or a weak urine stream, or if you take other medicines for an overactive bladder.
  • Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, as your doctor may need to change your dose or advise you not to take this medicine, especially if you take certain other medications.
  • Tell your doctor if you have any heart rhythm problems or if you take medicines that affect your heart's rhythm.

  • This medicine is not for children or teenagers under 18 years old.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
  • If you are breastfeeding, talk to your doctor, as this medicine may pass into breast milk. You and your doctor should decide if you should take this medicine or breastfeed. You should not do both.
