How to Use

Dosage

Typically, 0.5 to 2 ml is used for one dose.

Method

The solution is gently dripped into the front part of the eye, usually during cataract surgery.

Important

Not applicable as it is a single dose used during a surgical procedure.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Slow heartbeat
  • Swelling, cloudiness, and reduced function of the cornea (front part of the eye)
  • Shortness of breath
  • Low blood pressure
  • Sweating, skin redness

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to acetylcholinchloride or any other ingredient in Miochol-E.
  • If you are pregnant, Miochol-E should only be used if absolutely necessary.
  • If you are breastfeeding, Miochol-E should be used with caution.
  • The safety and effectiveness for children have not been proven.
  • The solution must be prepared just before use because it does not keep well.

  • Do not use if the package is damaged. It must only be opened in sterile conditions.
  • Do not re-sterilize Miochol-E. The sterile filter should only be used once with Miochol-E and then discarded. Do not reuse.
