How to Use

Dosage

For adults and adolescents over 12 years old, the usual dose is two capsules (200 mg) three times a day.

Method

Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water, with or without food.

Important

The maximum daily dose is six capsules (600 mg).

RARE
  • Muscle cramps or weakness
  • Tiredness
  • Chills or feeling generally unwell
  • Depression
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Forgetfulness
  • Reduced sex drive

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to miglustat or any other ingredient in the medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease.
  • Do not use if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding. Use reliable contraception during treatment.
  • This medicine can cause dizziness. Do not drive or use machines if you feel dizzy.
  • Men must use reliable contraception during treatment and for three months after stopping treatment.

  • Children and adolescents under 18 with Gaucher's disease type 1 should not use this medicine, as its effectiveness in them is unknown.
  • If you get diarrhea, your doctor may suggest diet changes, taking the medicine without food, lowering your dose, or prescribing diarrhea medicine.
