How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you exactly how many tablets to take; for medical abortion, it is usually 3 tablets.

Method

Swallow the tablets whole with water in the presence of a doctor or healthcare staff.

Important

The maximum daily dose is usually 3 tablets, taken as a single dose or once a day, depending on your treatment. Your doctor will provide exact instructions.

  • Severe skin reactions (red spots with blisters, peeling skin, sores in mouth/nose/eyes, fever, flu-like symptoms)
  • Toxic or septic shock (fever, muscle pain, fast heartbeat, dizziness, diarrhea, vomiting, weakness – very serious, seek immediate help)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to mifepristone or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have adrenal gland problems.
  • Do not use if you have severe asthma that is not controlled by your medication.
  • Do not use if you have a rare blood disorder called porphyria.
  • Do not use if your pregnancy has not been confirmed by a test or ultrasound, or if your doctor thinks the pregnancy is outside the womb.

  • Tell your doctor if you have liver, kidney, heart, or blood clotting problems, or if you have severe anemia.
  • If you have an IUD (intrauterine device), it must be removed before taking this medicine.
  • Do not drink grapefruit juice during your treatment.
  • Do not breastfeed while taking this medicine, as it can pass into breast milk.
  • Stop taking the medicine and contact your doctor immediately if you notice severe skin reactions like rashes or blisters, or signs of serious infection (fever, muscle pain, fast heartbeat, dizziness, diarrhea, vomiting, weakness).
