How to Use

Dosage

The recommended starting dose is one 1 mg tablet, three times a day, for two weeks.

Method

Take tablets three times a day, every 6-8 hours, with or without food. If you have trouble swallowing, tablets can be crushed and mixed with water or soft food like applesauce.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 7.5 mg (three 2.5 mg tablets).

  • Sudden bleeding in the lungs

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Midive if you are allergic to riociguat or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take Midive if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant; take monthly pregnancy tests during treatment.
  • Do not take Midive if you are taking PDE5 inhibitors (e.g., sildenafil), nitrates, nitric oxide donors (e.g., amyl nitrite), or other soluble guanylate cyclase stimulators (e.g., vericiguat).
  • Tell your doctor if you have severe liver disease, or if you are on dialysis or your kidneys do not work well.
  • Tell your doctor if you have low blood pressure or symptoms like dizziness, weakness, or fainting.

  • Tell your doctor if you recently had severe lung bleeding, have been treated for coughing up blood, or are taking blood thinners.
  • Tell your doctor if you start or stop smoking during treatment, as your dose may need adjustment.
