How to Use

Dosage

Take one tablet daily for 21 consecutive days.

Method

Take one tablet at the same time each day. Swallow the tablet whole, with water if needed. Do not chew. Follow with a 7-day tablet-free break.

Important

Do not exceed one tablet per day during the 21-day active pill period.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Depressed mood
  • Headache or migraine
  • Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
  • Menstrual problems (like irregular bleeding or spotting), breast pain or tenderness, thick white vaginal discharge, or vaginal yeast infections
  • Acne, severe itching, rash, or hair loss
  • Changes in sex drive
  • Weight changes or fluid retention
RARE
  • Allergic reactions (hypersensitivity)
  • Asthma
  • Hearing loss
  • Painful skin nodules or target-shaped rashes (erythema nodosum or erythema multiforme)
  • Discharge from breasts
  • Harmful blood clots in a vein or artery (e.g., in a leg, lung, heart, or brain)

Important Warnings

  • This medicine slightly increases the risk of blood clots, especially during the first year of use or if you restart after a break of 4 weeks or more.
  • Watch for symptoms of blood clots (like swelling, pain, or redness in a leg) and seek medical help right away if you think you have one.
  • Do not take Midiana if you are allergic to its ingredients, have ever had a blood clot, heart attack, or stroke, or have severe diabetes, very high blood pressure, liver problems, or certain types of cancer.
  • Midiana does not protect against HIV (AIDS) or other sexually transmitted diseases.
