How to Use

Dosage

Take Metoprolol Krka once a day in the morning with water.

Method

Swallow the tablets whole or halved with liquid; do not chew or crush them.

Important

Do not take more than 190 mg of metoprolol succinate in a single day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Feeling tired
  • Headache, dizziness
  • Cold hands and feet, slow heartbeat, feeling your heart beat strongly
  • Shortness of breath when you exert yourself
  • Feeling sick (nausea), stomach pain, throwing up (vomiting), diarrhea, constipation
RARE
  • Depression, nightmares, trouble sleeping
  • Tingling feeling on the skin
  • Temporary worsening of heart failure, very low blood pressure during a heart attack, severe heart shock
  • Trouble breathing, worsening of asthma or other lung problems
  • Allergic skin reactions
  • Chest pain, swelling due to fluid buildup, weight gain
  • Low number of platelets in the blood
  • Memory problems, confusion, seeing or hearing things that aren't there (hallucinations), nervousness, anxiety
  • Changes in taste
  • Vision problems, dry or irritated eyes
  • Problems with how the heart conducts electrical signals, irregular heart rhythm
  • Changes in liver blood tests
  • Worsening or new psoriasis (a skin condition), sensitivity to light, increased sweating, hair loss
  • Erectile dysfunction (trouble getting or keeping an erection)
  • Ringing in the ears

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to metoprolol succinate, other beta-blockers, or any other ingredients.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have uncontrolled heart failure, very low blood pressure, a very slow heartbeat (under 45 beats per minute), or a severe heart rhythm problem.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have severe problems with blood circulation in your body.
  • Do not suddenly stop taking Metoprolol Krka, as this can worsen your heart condition or increase the risk of a heart attack. Talk to your doctor first.
