How to Use
Dosage
Your doctor will start with a small dose, usually 18 mg daily, and may increase it gradually.
Method
Take one tablet whole with water in the morning, with or without food. Do not chew, split, or crush it.
Important
The maximum daily dose is 72 mg.

RARE
- •Suicidal thoughts or feelings
- •Hallucinations (seeing, hearing, or feeling things that are not there)
- •Uncontrolled speech or body movements (Tourette's syndrome)
- •Allergic reactions, such as rash, swelling, or breathing difficulties
- •Extreme excitement or overactivity (mania)
- •Heart attack or sudden death
- •Seizures (epilepsy)
- •Peeling skin or red patches on the skin
- •Brain blood vessel problems (stroke, inflammation)
- •Decreased blood cell count, increasing risk of infections and bleeding
- •Sudden high fever, very high blood pressure, and severe seizures (neuroleptic malignant syndrome)
- •Unexplained fainting, chest pain, or shortness of breath (may indicate heart problems)
- •Prolonged or painful erections
- •Blurred vision or dry eyes
- •Constipation
- •Chest discomfort
- •Blood in urine
- •Tremor or shaking
- •Migraine
- •Dilated pupils
- •Very high fever
- •Jaw muscle spasm (lockjaw)

Important Warnings
- Do not take if you are allergic to methylphenidate or any other ingredient in this medicine.
- Do not take if you have severe heart problems, such as a heart attack, or very high blood pressure.
- Do not take if you have had brain blood vessel problems, such as a stroke.
- Do not take if you have severe mental health disorders, such as psychosis or bipolar disorder, or suicidal thoughts.
- Do not take if you are using or have used certain antidepressants (MAO inhibitors) in the last 14 days.

- Do not drink alcohol with this medicine, as it may worsen side effects.
