How to Use
Dosage
Your doctor will start with a low dose, usually 18 mg once a day, and adjust it as needed to find the lowest effective dose.
Method
Take one whole tablet with a glass of water every morning, with or without food. Do not chew, break, or crush the tablet.
Important
The maximum daily dose for adults is 72 mg, and for children it is 54 mg, as determined by your doctor.

- •Unusual excitement or overactivity (mania)
- •Heart attack or sudden death
- •Seizures (fits)
- •Stroke-like symptoms or paralysis (e.g., problems with movement, vision, or speech due to brain blood vessel issues)
- •Reduced blood cell counts, increasing risk of infection, bleeding, or bruising
- •Very high fever with very high blood pressure and severe convulsions (neuroleptic malignant syndrome)
- •Prolonged and painful erections
- •Migraine
- •Blurred vision
Important Warnings
- Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to methylphenidate or any other ingredient in it.
- Tell your doctor if you have or have had serious heart or blood vessel problems, as this medicine may not be suitable for you.
- Inform your doctor about any mental health conditions, as this medicine can sometimes make them worse.
- If you are a boy or young man and get a painful erection that lasts longer than 2 hours, seek medical help immediately.
- This medicine can cause dizziness or blurry vision; do not drive or operate machinery if you experience these effects.
