How to Use
Dosage
Your doctor will decide your correct dose. The usual starting dose is 10-30 mg per day, slowly increased. The typical daily dose is 60-120 mg.
Method
Take this medicine by mouth exactly as your doctor tells you. Never inject this medicine.
Important
Do not take more than your doctor has prescribed.

Important Warnings
- Do not take if you are allergic to methadone or its ingredients.
- Do not take if you have used certain depression or Parkinson's medicines (MAO inhibitors) in the last two weeks.
- Do not take if you have severe breathing problems or acute asthma attacks.
- This medicine must not be given to children.
- Tell your doctor if you have liver, kidney, or heart problems.

- Tell your doctor if you take other opioid pain medicines, tranquilizers, or sleeping pills.
- Do not drink alcohol or grapefruit juice while taking this medicine.
- This medicine can cause dependence. Never take more than prescribed.
- Never take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
- Always keep this medicine in a safe place, out of reach of children.
