How to Use
Dosage
Your doctor will tell you the exact dose. The usual starting dose is 10-30 mg per day, gradually increasing. The common dose is 60-120 mg per day.
Method
Take this medicine by mouth exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Never inject it.

Important Warnings
- Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to methadone or any of its ingredients.
- Do not take if you have used MAO inhibitors (medicines for depression or Parkinson's disease) in the last two weeks.
- Do not take if you have severe breathing difficulties.
- Do not give Metadon Nordic Drugs to children.
- Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine, as it can cause serious side effects.

- Avoid grapefruit juice, as it can change the effect of the medicine.
- This medicine can make you drowsy and affect your coordination. Do not drive or use machines until you know how it affects you.
- If you take too much, seek immediate medical help, even if you feel well, as overdose can be fatal.
- This medicine can lead to tolerance, dependence, and addiction, which can be life-threatening.
- Tell your doctor if you have heart problems, as this medicine can affect heart function, especially at high doses.
- This medicine can cause sleep-related breathing problems like sleep apnea. Inform your doctor if you notice these symptoms.
- If you feel weak, tired, have no appetite, nausea, vomiting, or low blood pressure, tell your doctor. These could be signs of adrenal problems.
- Long-term use can affect hormone levels, leading to reduced sex drive, impotence, or missed periods. Talk to your doctor if you experience these.
- Tell your doctor about all other medicines you take, especially antidepressants. Combining them with methadone can cause serious side effects like confusion, fast heartbeat, fever, muscle stiffness, or severe nausea and vomiting.
