Meropenem AptaPharma is an antibiotic medicine that kills bacteria causing serious infections in various parts of the body.
Your doctor or nurse will decide your exact dose. For adults, the dose is usually 500 mg to 2 g, given every 8 hours. For children over 3 months, the dose is 10–40 mg per kg of body weight, given every 8 hours.
This medicine is given as an injection or infusion into a large vein by a healthcare professional. In some cases, you may be trained to give it at home. Injections should be given at the same time each day.
The maximum daily dose for adults is usually 6 g (2 g three times a day).
