Important Warnings

Also, if you have early menopause, abnormal reproductive organs, or certain womb tumors that make pregnancy impossible.
  • This medicine can cause Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS), which means your ovaries react too much. Signs include pain in your lower belly, feeling sick, throwing up, and weight gain. If you notice these, tell your doctor right away.
  • There is a higher chance of having twins or more babies with this treatment. Your doctor will try to lower this risk by giving you the right dose.
  • This treatment can increase the risk of blood clots. Tell your doctor if you have a higher risk of clots, if anyone in your family has had clots, or if you are very overweight.
  • If your fallopian tubes are damaged, there's a slightly higher risk of an ectopic pregnancy (where the baby grows outside the womb).
