How to Use

Dosage

The recommended daily dose for adults is 20 mg, taken once a day. The dose is gradually increased over four weeks to reduce side effects, starting with half a 10 mg tablet in week 1.

Method

Take Mentixa by mouth once a day, at the same time each day, with water. You can take it with or without food. The 10 mg tablet can be divided.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 20 mg.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to memantine hydrochloride or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had epileptic seizures.
  • Tell your doctor if you have recently had a heart attack, or if you have heart failure or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
  • Mentixa is not recommended for children or teenagers under 18 years old.
  • Do not take Mentixa if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
