How to Use

Dosage

The dose starts small and slowly increases over four weeks until you reach 20 mg once a day.

Method

Take Mentixa by mouth once a day, at the same time each day, with water. You can take it with or without food. 10 mg tablets can be split.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 20 mg.

  • Blood clots in veins (thrombosis/thromboembolism)
  • Seizures
  • Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas)
  • Liver inflammation (hepatitis)
  • Psychotic reactions

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Mentixa if you are allergic to memantine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had seizures.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have recently had a heart attack, have heart failure, or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
  • Mentixa is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
  • Mentixa is not for children or adolescents under 18 years old.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C
