How to Use

Dosage

The usual starting dose is 16 mg three times a day. Maintenance doses are 24-48 mg daily, split into two or three doses. Your doctor may adjust your dose.

Method

Swallow tablets with water, preferably with or after food to help prevent stomach upset. If you take more than one tablet a day, spread them out evenly. Try to take your tablets at the same time each day to keep the medicine level steady in your body.

Important

Do not take more than 48 mg per day.

  • Indigestion or stomach discomfort

RARE
  • Red, lumpy, or itchy skin rash or inflammation
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or neck
  • A sudden drop in blood pressure
  • Fainting or losing consciousness
  • Difficulty breathing

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to betahistine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have a tumor on your adrenal gland (pheochromocytoma).
  • Tell your doctor if you have or have had stomach ulcers, asthma, allergies (hives, rash, runny nose), or low blood pressure, as Menisy may worsen these conditions or cause stomach upset.
  • Do not take if you are pregnant unless your doctor says it is absolutely necessary.
  • Do not breastfeed while taking Menisy unless your doctor approves it.

  • This medicine is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years old.
  • If you take other medicines, especially antihistamines or MAO inhibitors, tell your doctor or pharmacist, as Menisy can affect their effectiveness or be affected by them.
