How to Use

Dosage

One 3 mg tablet in the evening at local bedtime for up to 4 days after a flight across time zones. If 3 mg is not enough, you can take a 5 mg tablet instead.

Method

Take the tablet at local bedtime, but not before 8 PM or after 4 AM. You can crush the tablet and mix it with cold water. Do not eat for 2 hours before or after taking the medicine.

Important

The maximum dose is 5 mg once a day for up to 4 days.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to melatonin or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have diabetes, as this medicine may increase blood sugar levels.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have an autoimmune disease (a condition where your immune system attacks your own body).
  • Talk to your doctor if you have epilepsy, as melatonin may increase the frequency of seizures.

  • If you can become pregnant, use contraception while taking this medicine. Not recommended for pregnant women.

  • Avoid eating for 2 hours before or after taking this medicine. Do not drink alcohol around the time of taking this medicine, as it can reduce its effect.
  • This medicine can cause drowsiness and reduce alertness, so do not drive or operate machinery after taking it.
