How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you how much to take. You usually start with a small dose, which is slowly increased every 2-4 weeks until it's right for you.

Method

Take one tablet by mouth once a day in the morning, at least 30 minutes before breakfast, with half a glass of water.

Important

The maximum daily dose is set by your doctor and can vary, typically up to 300 micrograms for specific uses, as taking too much can cause side effects.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to levothyroxine or any other ingredients in Medithyrox.
  • Do not take if you have an untreated adrenal or pituitary gland problem, or an uncontrolled overactive thyroid.
  • Do not take if you have a sudden heart problem, like a heart attack or heart inflammation.
  • If you are pregnant, do not use Medithyrox with medicines that stop your thyroid from working.
  • Do not use this medicine for weight loss. Taking too much without a doctor's advice can cause serious, even life-threatening, side effects.

  • Talk to your doctor before taking Medithyrox if you have any heart conditions, such as chest pain, heart failure, irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure, or hardened arteries.
  • Always tell your doctor or pharmacist about all other medicines you are taking, including herbal remedies, vitamins, and soy products, as they can affect how Medithyrox works.
