How to Use
Dosage
Your doctor will prescribe the correct dose for you. For adults, treatment often starts with a small dose, such as 25-50 micrograms daily, and is gradually increased.
Method
Take Medithyrox by mouth, one tablet once a day in the morning on an empty stomach, at least half an hour before breakfast, with a small amount of water.
Important
The maximum daily dose is generally 300 micrograms.

RARE
- •Allergic reactions (e.g., rash, hives, swelling of the face and throat)
Important Warnings
- Do not take if you are allergic to levothyroxine or any other ingredients in this medicine.
- Do not take if you have untreated problems with your adrenal glands, pituitary gland, or an overactive thyroid (too much thyroid hormone).
- Do not take if you have an acute heart problem, such as a heart attack or inflammation of the heart.
- Do not use thyroid hormones for weight loss. Taking high doses without a doctor's advice can cause serious, life-threatening side effects.
- If you are pregnant, do not take Medithyrox with medicines that stop thyroid hormone production.
