How to Use

Dosage

The recommended dose for adults and children over 12 years is one tablet up to three times a day.

Method

To prevent motion sickness, take the medicine 1-2 hours before travel.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet three times a day.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Hives (itchy rash)
  • Drug rash
  • Tiredness
  • Dry mouth, nose, and throat
  • Blurred vision
  • Fast heartbeat
  • Inability to urinate
  • Constipation
  • Restlessness
  • Nervousness
  • Insomnia (difficulty sleeping)
  • Hallucinations (hearing or seeing things that are not real), especially if you take more than recommended
  • Recurring red patches on the skin (fixed drug eruption)
  • Involuntary twitching movements
  • Liver inflammation caused by hypersensitivity (allergic reaction)
  • A serious lack of certain white blood cells (agranulocytosis)
  • Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice) linked to bile duct blockage

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to cyclizine hydrochloride or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have sleep apnea.
  • Do not take if you have glaucoma (high pressure in the eye).
  • Talk to your doctor if you have a condition that narrows your digestive tract.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have an enlarged prostate.

  • Talk to your doctor if you have had or currently have problems with substance abuse (alcohol, medicine, or drug dependence).
  • Talk to your doctor if you have had heart failure or a heart attack.
  • Do not use Marzine with medicines that make you sleepy or calm, like sleeping pills or tranquilizers, as it can make their effects stronger.
  • Do not use Marzine with MAO inhibitors (certain medicines for depression or Parkinson's disease), as it can increase their harmful effects on the heart.
  • Do not use Marzine with alcohol, as it can make the effects of alcohol stronger.
  • Marzine is not recommended during pregnancy.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category D

Avoid use in older adults. Anticholinergic. Sedative. Increases risk of falls. Reduces the effectiveness of drugs for Alzheimer’s disease. (updated 19.9.2025)
