How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you exactly how much Marevan to take, as the dose is adjusted individually for you based on regular blood tests.

Method

Take the tablet whole or divided in half, as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow with water.

Important

The maximum daily dose is decided by your doctor and may change based on your regular blood tests (INR). Never adjust your dose without your doctor's instruction.

  • Vascular inflammation
  • Temporary hair loss
  • Prolonged erection (usually at the start of treatment)
  • Tracheal calcification (hardening of the windpipe)
  • Cholesterol fragments blocking small blood vessels
  • Worsening kidney function with strong anti-clotting treatment and blood in urine (anticoagulation-related kidney disease)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Marevan if you have a bleeding disorder (e.g., hemophilia) or problems with your blood's ability to clot.
  • Do not use Marevan if you have severe liver disease.
  • Do not use Marevan if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure.
  • Do not use Marevan if you recently had bleeding in your brain or a major surgery on your brain or eyes, or will have one soon.
  • Do not use Marevan if you have a serious heart infection or fluid around your heart.

  • Do not use Marevan if you have a history of severe bleeding in your stomach, intestines (e.g., ulcers, black stools), or urinary tract.
  • Do not use Marevan if you are allergic to warfarin or any other ingredients in Marevan.
  • Always tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant, as Marevan can harm the baby.
  • Always tell your doctor if you have a fever, diarrhea, or vomiting, as these can change how Marevan works.
  • Seek medical attention immediately if you notice any unusual bruising or bleeding (e.g., nosebleeds, bleeding gums, blood in urine, black stools, vomiting blood, very heavy periods). These can be signs that Marevan is too strong.
