How to Use
Dosage
For chronic constipation: one 12g sachet once or twice daily. For fecal impaction: 5-10 sachets (12g) daily for 1-3 days.
Method
Dissolve one sachet (12g) of powder in 2 dl (one glass) of liquid (water, juice, tea, or coffee) just before use.
Important
The maximum daily dose for chronic constipation is 2 sachets. For fecal impaction, the maximum daily dose is 10 sachets over 1-3 days.

- •Severe allergic reactions (hypersensitivity reactions) such as anaphylactic shock (sudden drop in blood pressure, fever, rash, swelling of the face, mouth, or throat), or angioedema (sudden swelling in the skin, mucous membranes, or internal organs).
- •Allergic skin reactions such as redness, rash, itching, or hives.
- •Electrolyte imbalances and dehydration, especially in the elderly.
Important Warnings
- Do not take if you are allergic to macrogol, have a bowel obstruction, a perforated bowel wall, a severe inflammatory bowel disease (like Crohn's, ulcerative colitis), or unexplained painful stomach symptoms.
- Consult a doctor if your constipation has developed or worsened quickly, your liver or kidney function is impaired, you are using diuretics and get diarrhea, or if constipation is accompanied by pain, fever, or other stomach problems.
- If you experience sudden abdominal pain or rectal bleeding after taking Macrogol Orion for bowel preparation, contact a doctor immediately.
- This 12g formulation is not for chronic constipation in children under 8 years old. For children, treatment should not exceed three months.
- Be careful if you get diarrhea and are prone to fluid or electrolyte imbalances. Macrogol Orion may reduce the absorption of other medicines and can affect the action of thickeners if you need to thicken liquids.
