How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you your dose. It is usually between 150 mg and 600 mg per day.

Method

Take the capsules whole with water. You will take Lyribastad two or three times a day, at about the same time each day.

Important

Do not take more than the dose your doctor prescribed, typically a maximum of 600 mg per day.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Lyribastad if you are allergic to pregabalin or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • If you get a severe allergic reaction (swelling of your face, lips, tongue, throat, or a widespread skin rash), stop taking the medicine and contact your doctor right away.
  • Severe skin reactions (like Stevens-Johnson syndrome) have been reported. Stop taking Lyribastad and get medical help immediately if you notice any severe skin rash or blistering.
  • This medicine can cause dizziness and sleepiness, which might increase your risk of falls, especially if you are older. Be careful until you know how the medicine affects you.
  • Lyribastad may cause blurred vision, loss of vision, or other eye problems, which are usually temporary. Tell your doctor right away if your vision changes.

  • Some patients, especially older ones with heart problems, have had heart failure while taking Lyribastad. Tell your doctor if you have any heart conditions before starting this medicine.
  • Some patients have had kidney problems while taking Lyribastad. If you notice you are urinating less, tell your doctor.
  • Some patients taking medicines for epilepsy, including Lyribastad, have had thoughts of harming themselves or suicide. If you have these thoughts, contact your doctor right away.
  • Tell your doctor if you have ever misused alcohol, prescription medicines, or illegal drugs, as this medicine may increase your risk of becoming dependent on it.
  • Seizures have occurred during or shortly after stopping Lyribastad. If you have seizures, contact your doctor right away.
  • Brain problems (encephalopathy) have been reported in some patients taking Lyribastad who had other health conditions. Tell your doctor if you have a severe medical condition, including liver or kidney disease.
  • Breathing problems have been reported. If you have nerve or breathing problems, kidney failure, or are over 65, your doctor may adjust your dose. Contact your doctor if you have difficulty breathing or shallow breathing.
  • If you notice signs of dependence (needing more than prescribed, using for other reasons, failed attempts to stop, feeling unwell when stopping), talk to your doctor.
