How to Use

Dosage

Each white tablet has 150 micrograms of desogestrel and 20 micrograms of ethinylestradiol.

Method

Take one white tablet daily for 21 days, then one green placebo tablet daily for 7 days, at about the same time each day with some liquid. Start a new pack right away without a break.

Important

Take no more than one tablet per day.

  • Dangerous blood clots in veins or arteries (like in your leg, lung, heart, brain, or eye)
  • Allergic reactions
  • More interest in sex
  • Eyes feel uncomfortable with contact lenses
  • Skin reactions (like tender red lumps or rashes with red spots)
  • Milky liquid from nipples, changes in vaginal discharge
  • Losing weight

Important Warnings

  • This medicine can increase your risk of blood clots in your legs, lungs, heart, or brain. This risk is higher during the first year or after a long break. Get help right away if you have symptoms like sudden leg pain or swelling, chest pain, or trouble breathing.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had breast cancer, other cancers sensitive to hormones, or a liver tumor.
  • Do not use if you have severe liver disease or are taking certain medicines for Hepatitis C.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to desogestrel, ethinylestradiol, lactose, peanuts, or soy.
  • Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • If you feel sad, down, or have other mood changes, tell your doctor.
  • Get help right away if you have swelling of your face, tongue, or throat, or trouble swallowing or breathing.
