How to Use

Dosage

Adults (including elderly) and children over 12 years: One tablet once daily. For children under 12 years or weighing 30 kg or less, use only as directed by a doctor.

Method

Swallow the tablets whole with water. You can take the tablets with or without food.

Important

Do not exceed one tablet (10 mg) per day.

Important Warnings

  • Stop taking Loratadin Holsten and seek immediate medical help if you experience signs of a severe allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, difficulty breathing, shock, collapse, rash, or itching.
  • Do not take if you are allergic to loratadine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not give to children under 12 years or those weighing 30 kg or less without a doctor's prescription.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have liver problems.
  • Stop taking this medicine at least 48 hours before any allergy tests, as it can affect results.

  • Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
  • This medicine can cause drowsiness in very rare cases, which may affect your ability to drive or operate machinery.
  • If you have lactose intolerance, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose in severe renal impairment. Concurrent use with clopidogrel can increase loratadine and desloratadine level. (updated 19.9.2025)
