How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is one Logimax or Logimax forte tablet once a day.

Method

Take the tablet whole with at least half a glass of liquid (not grapefruit juice), preferably at the same time each morning. Do not split, crush, or chew the tablet.

The maximum daily dose is one Logimax or Logimax forte tablet once a day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Tiredness
  • Swelling in arms and legs
  • Skin redness
  • Dizziness, headache
  • Slow heart rate, fast heartbeat (palpitations)
  • Dizziness when standing up due to low blood pressure (very rarely fainting)
  • Cold hands and feet
  • Nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation
  • Shortness of breath during exertion
RARE
  • Tingling, numbness, or crawling sensations
  • Muscle cramps
  • Heart problems like shallow breathing, temporary worsening of ankle swelling, minor EKG changes that don't affect heart function, swelling, chest pain
  • Depression, difficulty concentrating, drowsiness, insomnia, nightmares
  • Rash or itching
  • Shortness of breath
  • Increased sweating
  • Weight gain
  • Very low blood pressure (hypotension)
  • Fainting spells
  • Heart conduction problems seen on EKG, irregular heartbeat
  • Nervousness, anxiety
  • Abnormal liver values
  • Hair loss, hives
  • Runny nose or watery/red eyes due to an allergic reaction
  • Vision problems, dry and/or irritated eyes
  • Dry mouth
  • Impotence/sexual dysfunction
  • Muscle pain, joint pain
  • Worsening of poor blood circulation in limbs for patients with severe circulation disorders
  • Memory loss/impairment, confusion, hallucinations
  • Allergic reactions like fever and swelling
  • Skin reaction due to sensitivity to sunlight, worsening of psoriasis symptoms
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • Taste disturbances
  • Frequent urination
  • Blood disorder (low platelet count)
  • Liver inflammation

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to felodipine, metoprolol, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
  • Do not use if you have recently had a heart attack.
  • Do not use if you have chest pain at rest or with little effort (unstable angina).
  • Do not use if you have severe heart rhythm problems (AV-block of second or third degree, sick sinus syndrome).

  • Do not use if you have untreated or symptomatic heart failure.
  • Do not use if your heart rate is slow and causes symptoms.
  • Do not use if you have very low blood pressure and a slow pulse due to heart problems (cardiogenic shock).
  • Do not use if you have severe blood circulation problems in your arms and legs causing coldness or pain.
  • Do not use if you have narrowing of a heart valve or a blockage in the heart's main artery.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category A

Suitable for older adults. Significant adverse effects include ankle oedema and orthostatic hypotension. Consider potential interactions. Avoid grapefruit. (updated 17.2.2025)
