How to Use

Dosage

Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area 1-2 times a day. For outer ear infections, use the solution: 3-5 drops in the ear 3 times a day.

Method

Apply the medicine thinly and directly to the affected skin area. Wash your hands after applying the medicine.

Important

Do not use for more than 3-4 weeks. For infants, do not use for more than 7 days.

  • Reduced adrenal gland function

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Locoid if you are allergic to hydrocortisone-17-butyrate or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use Locoid as the only treatment for skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, or viruses, acne, wounds, or outer ear infections if your eardrum is punctured, as it can hide or worsen these conditions.
  • Avoid getting Locoid in your eyes.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the medicine, unless you are treating your hands.
  • Do not use Locoid under tight bandages or dressings that trap heat and moisture.

  • Contact your doctor if you experience blurred vision or other eye problems.
  • Avoid long-term continuous use, especially in children. For infants, treatment should not exceed 7 days, and use under 1 year of age is not recommended. Diapers can increase absorption.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
