How to Use

Dosage

Apply a thin layer 1 to 2 times a day to the affected skin area. For outer ear inflammation, apply 3-5 drops of the solution into the ear 3 times a day for 7 days.

Method

Apply a thin layer directly to the skin or drops into the ear if using the solution for ear infection.

Important

Do not use for more than 3-4 weeks. For infants, do not use for more than 7 days.

  • Hypersensitivity (allergic reaction)
  • Redness of the skin
  • Itching
  • Skin infection
RARE
  • Skin thinning
  • Skin inflammation
  • Widening of small blood vessels in the skin
  • Stretch marks
  • Acne
  • Eczema around the mouth
  • Loss of skin pigment (changes in skin color)
  • Worsening of symptoms after stopping treatment (rebound effect)
  • Adrenal gland problems
  • Blurred vision

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to hydrocortisone-17-butyrate or any other ingredients in Locoid.
  • Do not use as the only treatment for bacterial, fungal, or viral skin infections, acne, wounds, or outer ear infections if your eardrum is perforated, as this could hide or worsen these conditions.
  • Avoid getting Locoid in your eyes.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly after using Locoid, unless you are treating your hands.
  • Do not use Locoid under airtight dressings or bandages.

  • Contact your doctor if you experience blurred vision or other vision problems.
  • Avoid long-term continuous use, especially in children.
  • Locoid is not recommended for children under 1 year of age.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
