Lipcut is a medicine that lowers 'bad' cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides in your blood and increases 'good' cholesterol (HDL), helping to reduce the risk of heart disease.
Your doctor will decide your dose. The usual starting dose for adults is 10 mg or 20 mg daily, sometimes 40 mg. For children (10-17 years old), the starting dose is 10 mg daily.
Take Lipcut once a day, in the evening. You can take it with or without food. The tablet can be divided.
For adults, the maximum daily dose is 80 mg. For children (10-17 years old), the maximum daily dose is 40 mg.
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose in severe renal impairment. Possible adverse effects include muscle pain and muscular weakness. Consider potential interactions. Avoid grapefruit. (updated 17.4.2023)
