Important Warnings
Do not take if you are allergic to linagliptin or any other ingredient in this medicine.
Do not use this medicine if you have type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis (a complication with high blood sugar, rapid weight loss, nausea, or vomiting).
If you take a sulfonylurea (another diabetes medicine) with Linagliptin Orion, your doctor might lower its dose to prevent very low blood sugar.
Tell your doctor if you have or have had a pancreas disease. Seek medical help immediately for severe and persistent stomach pain that may spread to the back, with or without nausea and vomiting, as this could be a sign of pancreatitis.
If you develop skin blisters, tell your doctor. This could be a sign of a skin condition called bullous pemphigoid, and your doctor may ask you to stop taking this medicine.
