Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Feeling sick (nausea)
  • Numbness, tingling, or burning feeling
  • Fainting or loss of consciousness
  • Slow heartbeat
  • Low or high blood pressure
  • Throwing up (vomiting)
RARE
  • Signs of nerve system problems, such as numbness or tingling around the mouth, numb tongue, being more sensitive to sounds, or trouble speaking.
  • Seizures (fits)
  • Headache with ringing or clicking in the ears and being extra sensitive to light
  • Irregular heartbeat, weak heart function, or heart stopping.
  • Slow or stopped breathing.
  • Severe allergic reactions like swelling of hands, feet, face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat, trouble breathing, itchy rash, fever, a drop in blood pressure, and shock.
  • Bluish skin, headache, shortness of breath, and tiredness (methemoglobinemia).

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to lidocaine, adrenaline, other similar numbing medicines, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • This numbing medicine should not be given into your spine (epidural) if you have very low blood pressure or have lost a lot of blood or fluids.
  • Do not use this medicine to numb fingers, toes, nose, ears, or the penis.
  • Tell your doctor if you have heart problems, high blood pressure, liver or kidney problems, or diabetes.
  • Lidokain/Adrenalin Aguettant 20 mg/ml should not be used in children under 12 years, and 10 mg/ml should not be used in children under 1 year.
