How to Use

Dosage

Method

Lidocaine Grindeks is given by a doctor as an injection into a vein, under the skin, or near the spinal cord (epidural space), depending on the area to be numbed and how long the effect is needed.

  • numbness or tingling of the tongue or around the mouth
  • increased sensitivity to sound

  • difficulty speaking
  • loss of consciousness
RARE
  • allergic reactions, such as hives, rash, or in severe cases, anaphylactic shock
  • irregular or stopped heartbeat (cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac arrest)
  • slowed or stopped breathing
  • changes in sensation or muscle weakness (neuropathy)
  • inflammation of the membrane around the spinal cord (arachnoiditis), which can cause lower back pain, numbness, or weakness in the legs
  • double vision

Important Warnings

  • Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to lidocaine, other local anesthetics, or any other ingredients.
  • Do not use this medicine for epidural anesthesia if you have very low blood pressure, a severe heart condition where your heart can't pump enough blood, or are in shock due to severe blood or fluid loss.
  • Tell your doctor if you are elderly, frail, have heart, liver, or kidney problems, or have a rare condition called acute porphyria.
  • Spinal anesthesia (epidural) can cause severe nerve problems.
  • If the medicine is injected into the eye or a joint, it can in rare cases cause temporary or permanent problems, including damage to joint cartilage.

  • This medicine may temporarily affect your ability to drive or use machines. Do not drive or operate machinery until you feel completely normal again.
