  • Your doctor will check if you have adrenal or pituitary gland problems or uncontrolled thyroid hormone overproduction, as these must be treated before starting Levothyroxine Sandoz or thyroid tests.
  • If treating premature babies, blood pressure will be regularly monitored due to the risk of a sudden drop.
  • Your thyroid hormone levels may change if you switch to a different levothyroxine product. Talk to your doctor about this; close monitoring and possible dose adjustments will be needed.
  • Do not use thyroid hormones for weight loss if your levels are normal; this can cause serious side effects. Do not take high doses with weight-loss drugs without doctor's advice.
  • Soy products can reduce the absorption of this medicine, so your dose may need to be adjusted if you consume them, especially if you change the amount.
